Update 8.3

Hi Everyone!
On Sunday we talked about family history: why we do it, how we do it, and why it's important.  I hope you all have thought about our discussion and thought of something you'd like to try that you haven't before, whether it's finding names for the temple on family search, adding pictures or stories to familysearch, indexing, keeping your own family history, or interviewing family members.:)
This coming Sunday, we will be talking about how we can explain the importance of marriage and family to others.  Hyrum and I will be team-teaching!  If you'd like to prepare for the lesson, here's a few options:
This talk  by Elder Anderson is so good and is written specifically to the youth!
Also, maybe you'd like to peruse Mormon newsroom or mormon.org to see how the church teaches using terms that those outside the church might understand.
I realize that our class is made up of a diverse group of kids with varied family experiences.  I hope that all will feel comfortable participating and sharing whichever situation you come from, and know that our class is a safe place where the spirit can teach us what we should know.
I love you all and hope you have a great rest of the week!
Love,
Sister Davis
